Breaking into the political blogging world in 2007 as a result of his Xbox 360 breaking, Jack began blogging on a site called the “Daily Kos” only to be banned when he really started to speak his mind about both political parties. While in exile, this led to him getting involved in a number of other “underground” blogs where his speech was allowed to continue in raw form and for the most part uncensored. When one of his favorite blogs of this kind was closed by the Admin he picked up where the other left off only to be exposed to the harsh reality of the political blogging circuit. Jack found himself threatened by lawyers and political consultants for allowing unfavorable speech be posted on the blog about their clients that these lawyers and consultants were representing. They were the same moderators from the Daily Kos that had banned him and wished to silence he and others even outside of the Daily Kos. However, he struck back at them with the help of his users after releasing all of the emails that were sent to him by those same political consultants and lawyers that said it would be “illegal” for him to do. He and the users exposed all involved in these threats and who were using their banning powers to coerce users not to speak out against the Democrats or any issues/talking points that the moderators were hired to push onto such a demographic. This coercion by moderators, in its most extreme form, would lead them to expose a user’s real identity using their “powers” given their occupations if the person didn’t stop speaking out against a specific candidate and/or issue. We started with their leader “MajorFlaw” a.k.a. Michael J. Fingerit and worked our way through the whole gang. Eventually releasing to all at the Daily Kos the contents of their site where they orchestrated their business meetings:
Since then, Jack realized the importance of anonymous and free speech, especially on the internet. It was clear that only users fighting back would protect us all from being threatened and blackmailed by powerful entities on the web. He got involved with groups like Electronic Frontier Foundation and found out about the Pirate Party soon after. He got involved with the newly formed United States Pirate Party and was elected to the position of Operations Officer after founding the Pirate Party of New York. Jack’s mission with the blog he administrates has always been to maintain the anonymity of his users and allow for free and uncensored speech as outlined in the First Amendment of the Constitution.
